Mr.
Brindell is a senior shareholder at Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart,
P.A., and is a member of the Firm’s Real Estate Department and
Urban Development Group. He has over 30 years of experience as an
environmental and land use lawyer. Formerly, he served as Chairman
of the Downtown Development Authority in West Palm Beach and
General Counsel to the Florida Department of Environmental
Regulation and the Florida Environmental Regulation Commission. He
also served as the Head of the Environmental Crimes Division at
the Dade County State Attorneys Office and as the Administrator of
the Florida Attorney General’s Environmental Law Section.
Mr. Brindell has represented numerous clients in developments
of regional impact such as the 4200 acre St. Lucie West project
and the Downtown/Uptown project which was the predecessor to City
Place in West Palm Beach. He represents major land owners in the
Town of Palm Beach such as the Breakers, the Esplanade, Neiman
Marcus, and the Poinciana Plaza. His environmental work involves
wetlands, threatened and endangered species, and hazardous waste
contamination. In addition to the normal zoning approvals, Mr.
Brindell provides counsel with respect to properties designated as
landmarks and tax abatement associated with those properties.
He graduated from the University of Miami School of Law where
he was a Sea Grant Fellow. He is AV Rated and listed in The Best
Lawyers in America.
