Carol Schoffel Faber is a shareholder with Akerman
Senterfitt, a full-service commercial law firm with over 400
attorneys in offices throughout Florida and in Washington,
D.C. Ms. Faber has been practicing law in Miami for over 20
years, primarily in the area of commercial real estate. Her
practice includes all aspects of leasing work (including
office, industrial, telecommunications and retail leases,
representing both landlords and tenants), mortgage and other
loan transactions, participations and mezzanine loans
representing lenders and borrowers, acquisitions and sales
of improved and vacant real estate, construction matters,
and general domestic and international business
transactions.
Ms. Faber is currently on the Board of Directors of New
Theatre, a not-for-profit theater currently located in Coral
Gables, and of Congregation Bet Breira in Miami. She is a
member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the
Florida Association for Women Lawyers (of which she is a
past Director), the Miami-Dade County Bar Association, The
Florida Bar (Member, Business Law Section; Real Property,
Probate and Trust Law Section), and the American Bar
Association (Member, Sections on Business Law; Real
Property, Probate and Trust Law). She graduated with a B.A.
from the University of Florida, and was a member of the Phi
Kappa Phi Honor Society. She received her J.D., cum laude,
from the University of Miami, where she was an editor on the
Law Review, and a member of the Wig and Robe Honor Society.
She is AV rated by Martindale Hubble, and is a title agent
for various title underwriters.
