
Karen has over 10 years advertising agency
experience and 8 years in-house marketing management and 6
years business administration and marketing for
Patty Doyle
Public Relations, Inc. (PDPR) clients. The South Florida
Business Journal honored her in 1989 with the Up & Comer
award in advertising for her achievements in business and
her contributions to the community.
For the past five years Karen managed the
Urban Land Institute Southeast Florida/Caribbean District
Council account by providing administrative support, event
planning/management, marketing and financial
planning/support. Additionally she has provided research,
creative concepts, projections, budgets and marketing plans
for PDPR’s diverse client list of builders, developers,
architects, interior designers and companies that provide
services to the building industry.
Some of Karen’s advertising agency
accounts included: McDonald’s Restaurants, Broward Marine,
Boca Investors/Woodfield Hunt Club, Jordan Marsh, Maas
Brothers and Rich’s Department Stores; South Florida Pontiac
Dealers; International House of Pancakes; Stiles
Corporation; Winterfest Boat Parade & Festival; Six Flags
Atlantis; Champs Sporting Goods; and First Builder Corp.
She was Marketing Manager for Six Flags
Atlantis for 4 years until the park property was sold and
subsequently redeveloped by Hollywood, Inc.
Karen has an extensive community service
background. She was Vice President of Second Century Broward
and has served on various committees for the City of Fort
Lauderdale Beach Redevelopment, Beach Visioning Workshop;
historic Stranahan House; Downtown Festival of the Arts; Ft.
Lauderdale Blues Festival; Make It Shine, Shoreshine and the
Greater Ft. Lauderdale Board Sailing Association. She served
on the boards of the Broward County Gator Club and the South
Florida Board Sailing Association (Miami). Along with a
software designer, Karen developed a regatta scoring program
that is currently being used by the USWA for national and
international events. Karen is often invited to serve on the
race committees of these Olympic qualifying events. She is
also a USWA certified windsurfing instructor.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree
in Advertising from the University of Florida and a
Certificate of Commendation in language and culture from the
University of Paris. She has minors in business, mathematics
and language.
