This program will focus on two major challenges in current redevelopment efforts--gaining support from neighbors who protest redevelopment efforts and the complexities of responding to market demands for mixed use in redevelopment projects. We will tackle the concept of NIMBYism ("Not In My Back Yard") and hear from our keynote speaker, renowned author and expert Dwight Merriam.

Case studies are a critical portion of the program, and presenters who have had "hands on" experience with these challenges will discuss them as they relate to complex projects in Miami, North Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

Each attendee will receive Dwight Merriam’s new book: The Complete Guide to Zoning (McGraw Hill 2004)

Seating is limited – please be sure to register as soon as possible.
