ULI Forum on Compact
Development: Building a Better Toolkit

Riverside Hotel, Fort Lauderdale
On June 16, 2006 The Urban Land Institute, in
partnership with the National Multi Housing Council,
held a forum focusing on compact development in
Southeast Florida at the Riverside Hotel in Fort
Lauderdale, FL. This meeting was the third of four
meetings held around the country to discuss the
issue.
Chaired locally by ULI SE FL/Caribbean Executive
Committee Member Debbie Orshefsky, a shareholder at
Greenberg Traurig law firm, over 40 regional
stakeholders met to discuss brief south Florida case
studies and the economics of development in today’s
market.
