Miami-Dade’s Urban Development Boundary (UDB) was created in 1975 to help manage the county’s rampant and complex growth. Preservationists who want to hold the line at its present boundaries say that the line is critical to keeping urban sprawl from choking already congested roads, schools and other services. Developers and their allies argue that the booming population and demand for housing requires that the line be expanded otherwise South Florida’s economy will be affected.

Come and hear both sides defend their opinions at the latest ULI Southeast Florida/Caribbean District Council breakfast program, moderated by South Florida Business Journal’s Darcie Lunsford. Questions from the audience will round out the program, so make your reservation early. Space is limited.
