How can Miami cope with two extra feet of water by 2060? ULI experts weigh in
ULI panel provides resilience recommendations to the City of Miami
As the Founder and CEO of Fort Lauderdale-based Native Realty, Jaime Sturgis has already reached prominence within the real estate industry as a pioneering commercial broker who is guiding the redevelopment of several emerging urban neighborhoods throughout South Florida.
At only 31 years old, Jaime has quickly become a household name in the real estate industry through his roles in curating emerging urban neighborhoods. He is best known for his efforts in transforming Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village, where he has completed more than 500,000 square feet in transactions over the last few years, and where his commitment to the neighborhood has been key to establishing it as one of Broward’s most exciting new markets.
Jaime takes a thoughtful and holistic approach to neighborhood redevelopment, and has stepped into the roles of community advocate, developer, and property manager in his work to transform Flagler Village. His efforts to bring together key stakeholders, articulate a vision for a vibrant urban neighborhood, and carefully redevelop and curate two of its key properties – The Hive and Flagler Uptown – have been instrumental in establishing the Flagler Village market and branding it as the city’s hot new arts and entertainment district.
Jaime is now expanding his efforts into other parts of South Florida, including Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Pompano Beach, and Fort Lauderdale’s Uptown neighborhood, and dedicates his time to the community through Friends of the Mockingbird Trail Committee, Downtown Coalition FTL, Flagler Village Civic Association, and M.A.S.S. District, a 501c3 organization that supports economic development through the arts.
