ULI & NAIOP Miami River Development Tour: The Original Waterfront
This event is SOLD OUT!
The City of Miami was named for its arterial body of water, the Miami River.
“Miami” is a Calusa word which means “Big Water.” Julia Tuttle, the Mother of Miami, settled on the banks of the river in the late 19th century and conceived a major metropolitan destination. From her statue’s perch in Bayfront Park, she has watched as this dream has become a reality. Along the banks of the river alone there are 4,000 residential units and over half a million square feet of retail establishments, including restaurants and bars, planned.
Come join ULI, NAIOP, and the Miami River Commission for a beautiful morning of boating and hear what all of the plans are from the developers themselves.
