In the spring of 2019, the City of Lauderhill invited a panel of experts from the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Southeast Florida / Caribbean District Council to provide strategic advice and recommendations to the city regarding its development, and to analyze the development feasibility and potential for three key mixed-use sites:

1. The site of a recently closed Target department store
2. The Inverarry Hotel / Racquet club site, home to proposed new hotel
3. The Market Place site, home to a regional park and the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center
