    David Hebert

    City Manager, City of Oakland Park

    David Hebert was appointed City Manager of the City of Oakland Park in 2014. Mr. Hebert is a Public Sector executive and attorney with over 25 years of experience as manager of governmental and non-profit agencies. David holds a BA, in History and English from the University of Dallas, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Texas A & M University, and a Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law. Mr. Hebert is an International City/County Management Association, Credentialled Manager and has been admitted to the Bar in the state of Florida, New York, and Connecticut. With his background as an educator and attorney, David brings a new approach to local government management. His creative problem solving, and management ability has been the driving force behind the innovative policies and redevelopment projects that the City has implemented over the last seven years.

    R. Miller Consulting Group

    Renee Miller is the President and founder of R. Miller Consulting Group (RMCG) a Florida based Government Management Consulting Firm with offices in South Florida and the Charlotte Metro Area. RMCG specializes in the areas of Economic Development, Real Estate Development Consulting, Public Private Partnership Solutions, and Government Management and Administration. Renee is an International City/County Management Association (ICMA), Credentialed Manager and possessed decades of experience as a professional local government administrator before entering the private sector to create RMCG. Her years of experience as a municipal manager gives her an intimate understanding of the complexities of local government operations, finances, and regulatory requirements. That unique expertise and perspective is what makes the RMCG team successful at helping clients implement their community’s vision.

    Paul Lambert

    Managing Principal, Lambert Advisory

    Paul Lambert founded Lambert Advisory in 1995 and is engaged by clients to provide expert market, financial, and strategic guidance associated with real estate and economic development efforts. Paul's clients have included Samsung Corporation, The Queen Emma Foundation, University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University, Port Miami, as well as the cities of New York, New Orleans and Tampa. He has served as advisor to sovereign wealth funds and some of the nation’s largest charitable trusts. Between 2005 and 2007, Paul managed the post-Hurricane Katrina neighborhood rebuilding planning process (‘Lambert Plans’) on behalf of the City of New Orleans. Currently, Paul is heading the development of Miami Wilds, a theme park and associated entertainment development with an estimated $1.0 billion investment requirement adjacent to ZooMiami. Prior to starting Lambert Advisory, Paul was with Arthur Andersen LLP and Goodkin Research Corporation where he oversaw the firm's South Florida and Latin America real estate economics practice. Paul holds a BA from Miami University in Ohio. As an undergraduate he was a Beaver Fellow at the London School of Economics and graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Master Degree in City Planning.

    SURIA YAFFAR, ASSOC. AIA, LEED AP Principal; Director of Design Suria Yaffar is a firm principal and the Director of Design. Suria has worked on a variety of planning, urban design and architectural projects for public and private clients throughout the United States. She is experienced in all phases of the planning process including community outreach, consensus building, strategic planning and urban design, as well as all phases of land development. Suria collaborates with Bernard Zyscovich on the firm’s most significant commissions. Suria has served on regional ULI Advisory boards and conducted university lectures on master planning and architecture and her work has been published in the ACSA Journal.     02/2010 Bernard Zyscovich As managing principal of Zyscovich Architects, Bernard Zyscovich, AIA, leads his 120-person firm in probing the parameters of design innovation. A dedicated urbanist, Zyscovich is committed to design that reinforces the cultural, commercial, and recreational opportunities of the urban fabric. He has given lectures on his theories of real urbanism to a variety of groups around the United States, and his writing on architecture and urban design has been published in numerous magazines. Zyscovich received his bachelor of architecture degree from the Pratt Institute in 1971.

    Jane Bolin

    Mayor, City of Oakland Park

    Mayor Jane F. Bolin was elected to the Oakland Park City Commission in 2018, becoming the first Korean American commissioner in Broward County. Jane believes it is important to be involved in your community and dedicates herself to advancing the city’s momentum and building an inclusive culture. Originally from Washington, D.C., Mayor Bolin received a B.A. in political science from Radford University, a Masters in sports management from the United States Sports Academy, and her Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law. She has been an adjunct faculty member at St. Thomas University School of Law and Nova Southeastern University, teaching Law Practice Management and Florida Real Estate Law. Jane is the founder and managing partner of PeytonBolin, PL, a real estate and community association law firm. She is also the co-founder of Giannell Title, an attorney-owned and operated title company. Recognized for her success, Ms. Bolin has earned numerous accolades and was named to the South Florida Business Journal 40 under 40 list. Ma​yor Bolin is a proud graduate of the Oakland Park Local Government Academy Class of 2018 and was elected class speaker for their graduation ceremony. She currently serves as an at-large director of the Florida League of Mayors and is a member of the Governmental and Public Policy Advocacy Committee of the Florida Bar. Deeply involved in the community, Jane also serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Broward, the council of advocates for the Children's Diagnostic and Treatment Center, as president of the governance committee of the Pride Center at Equality Park of South Florida, and is co-chair of the advisory council of the World AIDS Museum and Educational Center. She is an active member of the Oakland Park/Wilton Manors Rotary Club, president of the Oakland Park Kiwanis Club, and also serves as the global chair of governance for the Entrepreneurs' Organization. Jane also served as a board member for the Girl Choir South Florida, Asian Pacific American Bar Association of South Florida, Khushi Hona, and the Florida Rugby Union. An avid athlete, Jane often combines her passion for philanthropy with her passion for sports. She rode 165 miles, from Miami to Key West, five times for the SMART Ride, a charity that raises funds to help those who are at risk, infected, or affected by HIV/AIDS.
