    Aimee Carlson

    PulteGroup

    Ms. Carlson has over 20 years of land planning, entitlement and real estate development experience in both residential and commercial development. Ms. Carlson has served as the Director of Land Planning and Entitlement for Pulte Group’s South Florida Division since 2019. She is responsible for overseeing land planning and entitlement for the division’s new communities from Indian River to Miami-Dade. Prior to joining Pulte, Ms. Carlson served in Director level roles at national development and investment firms and her responsibilities included site evaluation and acquisition, due diligence, governmental relations, entitlement, community outreach and permitting. Early in her career, Ms. Carlson also served as the Director of Land Entitlement for Centex Homes Southeast Florida and as a Senior Planner for the Palm Beach County Planning, Zoning and Building Department.

    Charles Abrams

    Charles J. Abrams is a well-rounded real estate attorney who represents developers, investors, owners, landlords, tenants, borrowers and lenders across a broad spectrum of commercial real estate and secured financing transactions. He has experience representing homebuilders in land acquisitions, dispositions and project development, including negotiating complex development agreements, resolving title issues, and coordinating the installation and maintenance of infrastructure and amenities. In addition, Chuck has represented borrowers as well as national and regional financial institutions in various forms of credit arrangements, including the negotiation and documentation of acquisition, construction and revolving credit loan facilities.

    Valerie Neilson

    Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency

    Valerie Neilson is an urban planning professional passionate about multimodal transportation and creating healthy, sustainable, and economically vibrant communities. Valerie serves as the Executive Director at the Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency (TPA), leading the agency’s efforts to plan, prioritize, and fund transportation projects that advance safe, efficient, and connected facilities for users of all ages and abilities in Palm Beach County. Prior to her current role, Valerie served at the TPA’s Deputy Director of Multimodal Development. Valerie is a Leadership Palm Beach County Class of 2016 Alumni and has served in various leadership roles, including Chair of the City of Greenacres Planning Commission and Vice-Chair of the Miami-Dade Health & Built Environment Committee. Prior to the TPA, Valerie worked on environmental planning and active transportation initiatives. Valerie is fluent in English/Spanish and has over 14 years of experience in strategic planning and project management. Valerie holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University.

    Katie Block

    Chief Financial Officer, Related Companies

    Katie Block is the Chief Financial Officer of Related Southeast where she is responsible for the financial oversight and planning as well as the overall management of day-to-day operations for the retail, residential, and commercial development and management in South Florida. In addition to her responsibilities in West Palm Beach, Katie leads the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team for Hudson Yards in New York City. In her previous role as Department Head of FP&A for the Related Companies, Katie managed a team of 25 and was directly responsible for successfully integrating internal FP&A teams into one consolidated function which is responsible for financial planning, corporate budgeting and forecasting, cash management, and performance management of all development and operating platforms. Katie joined Related in 2013. Previously, she served as CPA at Ernst & Young and Controller at a Private Equity Hospitality Fund. Katie holds a degree from the University of Delaware, where she dual majored in Business with a concentration in Accounting and Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management. Katie serves on the board of directors of the Promise Fund of Florida, sits on the West Palm Beach Mayor’s educational advisory committee, partners with Big Sisters/Big Brothers NYC and is part of the executive team who leads volunteer/charitable activities for the Related Southeast office.

    Dawn Gunter

    Managing Director, Principal, Gensler

    As a Principal and Co-Managing Director of Gensler’s Miami office, Dawn’s focus on understanding the essence of her clients’ goals and delivering projects that exceed their expectations have been key to establishing the firm’s presence in Florida. With more than 25 years of experience, she combines Gensler’s research and point of view with the client’s desire to bring the highest level of design and industry knowledge to the project team. Dawn’s work serves local and national clients and her projects have been recognized by industry organizations, including AIA Tampa Bay and NAIOP. She is recognized as a leader in the industry and is involved in CoreNet and ULI. Dawn earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a Master's of Architecture from the University of South Florida.
