Taylor Murphy joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2019 where she works as an Account Executive helping Florida local governments innovate for and with citizens by addressing the mission-critical needs of worldwide public sector stakeholders. AWS is a subsidiary of Amazon.com that provides software developers and businesses with cloud-based infrastructure services that are cost-effective, scalable, secure, flexible and necessary to make a difference. AWS has grown tremendously since its inception in 2006 and is now the underlying infrastructure for hundreds of thousands of businesses around the world from start-ups to enterprises to government agencies and school districts. Whether through open data initiatives, public safety modernization, citizen service improvements, or infrastructure programs, governments are turning to the cloud to transform the way that they deliver services to their citizens. Prior to joining AWS, Taylor spent the past decade at Dell/EMC developing relationships with government and education customers, as well as system integrators, solution providers, independent software vendors, and value-added resellers. Taylor earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston University and holds a master’s degree in Information Technology Management from Brandeis University. She is based in Bradenton, Florida and enjoys spending her free time golfing or on the water.
