Announcing the 2023 Vision Awards Project of the Year Finalists

ULI Southeast Florida / Caribbean is proud to announce the five finalists for its 2023 Project of the Year Award. The finalists will be celebrated and the winner will be announced live at the 2023 Vision Awards event on Tuesday, November 28th at the JW Marriott Marquis, Miami.

Link at Douglas, Phase I

The Link at Douglas, Phase I, is a flagship transit-oriented development in Miami-Dade County that has played a transformative role in revitalizing the Douglas Station neighborhood and is serving as a model and catalyst for its evolution and for transit-oriented development throughout the region.

The two-building Phase I offers 733 residential units, 30,000 square feet of retail space, $17 million in public infrastructure improvements, and a portion of the Underline.

Miami Beach Convention Center Renovation & Expansion

The Miami Beach Convention Center’s extensive $640 million renovation and expansion project has revitalized the dated property into a first-class venue that celebrates its position as the civic and cultural heart of Miami Beach and drastically improves the experience for residents and convention attendees alike.

The project has transformed the center’s linkage with its surroundings, turning six acres of former parking lots into a lush green public park and revitalizing the Collins Canal pedestrian walkway.

Mosaico

Mosaico is a 271-unit affordable housing community in Allapattah serving residents over the age of 62. Developed in partnership by Integra Investments and Elderly Housing Development & Operations Corporation, the partnership’s development of Mosaico is a model example of multiple stakeholders across the public and private sectors uniting to deliver a critically-needed solution to the loss of aging subsidized housing stock in Miami-Dade.

Oasis Wynwood

Oasis Wynwood is a unique mixed-use project in the heart of Wynwood developed by Oak Row Equities. Designed to be an oasis for the community, the adaptive reuse project involved a complex assemblage and the conversion of a former warehouse into innovative office space, which now serves as Spotify’s 20k square foot South Florida headquarters. The Oasis centers around a 35k square-foot vibrant open-air courtyard surrounded by restaurants, a cocktail bar, and traditional brick and mortar retail.

The redevelopment has created an enjoyable destination with high-quality programming that perfectly complements and advances the character of its neighborhood.

The Plaza Coral Gables

Paying tribute to its Mediterranean- style origins, the 2.1 million square foot mixed-use development The Plaza Coral Gables houses over 400,000 square feet of Class A office space, the luxury Loews hotel, street-level retail and dining, public plaza, two residential towers, and parking for over 2,000 vehicles.

The Plaza Coral Gables revitalizes the historic neighborhood, introducing a new dining, retail, and business district with unexpected public amenities provide a high-quality new place for people to work, play, and connect.
